Arlo Base station or SmartHub is offline

This a a guide to troubleshoot your Arlo Camera Base station or Smart hub. Before you start the process for the troubleshooting, check the LED in front of the your Hub and determine if your system is online. You can also do this by checking your Arlo application.
  • Go to the video feed from your Arlo app, if u are able to see the the video feed that means your Base station is connected to the internet.
  • If you are unable to see the video feed , it means your station is not connected to the internet.
There are two type of Base station for Arlo Camera. The older model have 2 to 5 LED in front of it while the newer one has Single LED.

Single-LED base station(New model) 
There is single LED present in the newer model, this LED change its color depending on the connectivity status.
Single LED base station

  • If the LED is in the solid blue color the station is connected to the internet.
  • If the LED is in the Amber color,LED may be solid state or in the blinking condition, in that case station has connectivity issue. 
Multi-LED base station(Older model)
In case of the Older model there are 3 to 5 LED present on the front of the Arlo base station.Here the LED in the middle is the connectivity LED.
  • If the LED emits green color than there is no problem you are connected to the internet.
  • If the LED is in Amber color then there is problem with the internet connection.
Troubleshoot your Base Station
Following are some of the steps you can take to troubleshoot your base station.
  1. Check the Ethernet cable connected to your base station and the router, also check for the visible wear and tear on the cable.
  2. Check the Power adapter if it is tightly secured to the wall outlet and the back of the base station.
  3. You can also power cycle your Arlo Camera Base station. Wait for at least 2 minute before you reconnect the power supply to your device.
  4. check for the firmware update provided by the Arlo.
  5. Perform the Factory reset on your base station.
